Therefore, when you have a personal finance decision to make, evaluate your options based on the information at hand today rather than an educated guess about the future. The future, after all, is subject to change — despite what the experts forecast.

The numbers are out, ORRA, has seen an increase in number of agents to a current total of 9000 members.
Or at least that is what they are claiming. Something tells me, that they did not purge their system of agents that had failed to pay their fees.

Anything to try and keep them looking strong....?

May 2010 vs May 2009 there was a drop of 314 members in comparison.

I believe in 2009 the biggest drop came out in the August report for July statistics. So until then, I guess we just wait?

If you would like more information about your options when it comes to pursuing a short sale, feel free to give me (Brady Pevehouse) a call.
I can be reached at (407) 374-3123
I currently own / run a short sale negotiation company where I assist agents and home sellers navigate the issues associated with short sales. In short, I advise on potential options sellers have, and work with agents to achieve the best possible option for their clients in the quickest time possible.

Anyone that makes a guarantee would be lying to you. At least with me you get an accurate honest picture of your situation.
I don't get paid unless we are successful in negotiating your short sale...

A few more options / opinions regarding self employed borrowers.
Aside from planning on 20% down and stellar credit plan on pushing your patience to the limit.
Make sure you have an agent that understands the needs of the lender and how to present the package. Lenders have a second line of defense called underwriters, who are often easily portrayed as the bad guys'.
There are no slam dunks when it comes to lending to self employed. Be prepared to document any money trail that involves $1000 or more into your personal accounts and in some cases, lenders inquire about items as small as $500 or more.

It may not be easy, but at the same time it is not impossible. If you are working with the right agent and a good lender, you can easily prepare for many of the request that the lenders' Underwriter will require.
Breathe deeply & slowly and you will survive!

My question is, where are these lenders now? Wouldn't it be a wise move to assist in lending so that their existing mortgages that are in place have a little company?

Comment on E-PASS Shredding and Recycling Event by Brady Pevehouse

I received this email today from E-Pass Service Center

"Following an unprecedented response to our first event, E-PASS is sponsoring another shredding and electronics recycling event Saturday, February 20th from 10 am to 2 pm. It will be at the Colonial Plaza (2728 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803) near the intersection of Primrose and Colonial, in the parking lot area in front of where Circuit City was once located. Look for the orange E-PASS tent for giveaways.

If you missed the first event, now is your chance to help prevent identity theft by shredding those documents you’ve accumulated and recycling electronics you’re no longer using. This is a free event, open to everyone. Residents can bring their documents and watch as they are shredded. In an effort to reduce wait times, there will also be an option to drop off documents for shredding at a secure, off-site facility.

In addition, participants can bring working and non-working electronics (excluding TVs) for recycling. Data will be destroyed as appropriate and a certificate of destruction will be available to be emailed to you. See below for accepted items. E-PASS and the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority are not responsible for any items dropped off during this event.

The following electronics will be accepted, working or not working: desktop, tower, laptop computers; CRT, LCD, plasma monitors/displays; printers/plotters; fax machines; telephone systems, switches; cell phones, PDAs, radios; stereos; VHS/DVDs; video games; projectors, cameras; any kind of storage media. At this time, we CANNOT accept TVs.

For computers and other items like cell phones and PDAs, a private company will process the item for data destruction (factory clearing cell phones and degaussing the sim cards; three pass electronic erasure and Department of Defense level sanitization of hard drives.) All identifying marks, stickers and labels are removed. If media cannot be securely destroyed electronically, physical destruction is carried out at their facility.

For more information, please call 407-690-5000."
